Two to four players, configurable opening rules, and partnership play.
51 uses two decks and two jokers and seats two, three, or four players. Players open with runs and groups, then lay cards onto melds on the table; the lowest penalty total wins.

Opening rules
Choose a 51, 81, or 101 opening threshold, fixed or progressive play, pair opening as off, four pairs, or five pairs, and assisted or unassisted play.
