Old Maid
Two to four players, four match formats, and one goal: avoid the odd king.
Old Maid seats two, three, or four players. Pairs are removed automatically, players draw blind from the previous active hand, and the final holder of the odd king loses. Tables can use a single or double deck.
Table options
Classic
Finish order determines points: with n players, first earns n−1, later finishers earn descending points, and the odd-king holder gets zero.
Penalty
The odd-king holder receives 1 penalty each game. When the ceiling is reached, the lowest total wins.
Elimination
The odd-king holder is eliminated after each internal game. The full run ends with one survivor, who earns 1 point.
First out
The game ends as soon as the first hand empties, and only that player earns 1 point; simultaneous opening finishes are a tie.
